Sounds For Tsunami Relief

I wanted to tell you all about a benefit I will be involved in:

Of course with all the devestation caused by the recent Tsunami, there are many benefits taking place all around the globe. I am glad to do my part and participate in a benefit with several great local bands: Echofission & Souls Release. It will take place at a club called The Crossroads in Garwood, NJ on Saturday March 12th. You can buy tickets ahead of time (encouraged) by following this link: http://echofission.com/ There are only 250 tickets available and this show will definitely sell out. I will be performing an hour long acoustic set with some friends sitting in here and there. It should be a great show and a great time.

The one consistent thing about tragedy is that it brings people together. Hopefully it gives you a deeper appreciation for your own life and the lives of those around you. It is often hard to contemplate that which once seemed stable can all disappear within a few short seconds. Most people don't like to consider thoughts like these, but I actually try and focus on that reality for 15 minutes or so at the beginning of each day. I think the more you understand your place in this universe, the better you utilize your time. It has a way of adding perspective and appreciation. Forcing you to understand what's important. Denying you the ability to be egotistical. An unnegotiable humility. Anyway....enough of that!

I have been listening to the Roger Waters album "Amused to Death" with almost a religious zealotry as of late. How does this guy get it right every time? Incredible! Most artists sing at you, Roger sings from above you. He sits at the very top of your head and whispers words into your ears. He has a way of conveying emotions on tape like a great painter. Really astounding! This album (yes, I still call them that) comes from somewhere else, not here, it couldn't possibly come from here!

Anyway....

Hope y'all are doing well. Call an old friend today!

Brian
